Ultravox to play O2 Academy venues in Sheffield and Newcastle

After last year’s amazing 15 date “Return To Eden” UK comeback and a phenomenal six show run in April with rave reviews and sold out venues, Ultravox return with two shows at O2 Academy Sheffield on Wednesday 25th August and O2 Academy Newcastle on Thursday 26th August.

Ultravox gained notoriety for their influential brand of electronic pop and new wave music that defined the early 80’s. The classic Ultravox lineup of Midge Ure, Chris Cross, Warren Cann and Billy Currie, reunited in 2009 after disbanding in 1986.

During their heyday the band ruled the UK charts with albums such as Vienna, Rage in Eden, and Quartet all making the Top 20.

The April 2010 release of Return To Eden: Live at the Roundhouse 3 Disc CD/DVD enjoyed great success and acclaim from the legions of diehard Ultravox fans, reaching #35 UK.
